Fifty is the number for the most expensive item of clothing I have bought in a long time (probably years.) I'm kind of a cheapskate when it comes to clothing. It's not that I don't like or appreciate things that are more expensive, it's just that I can often find what I am looking for at cheaper prices. Target does excellent imitations of trendy clothes (colored jeans, shoes, accessories...), as does Forever 21, Kohl's, Marshall's, etc. I tend to spend more on nice bags and will splurge on shoes to jazz up the same little black dress I've had in my closet forever.
The skirt in this picture is what prompted the post title. I have been eyeing it for awhile. It's floaty, light and a gorgeous mint color. I even tried to take back the purchase at the checkout counter (the cashier talked me back into it, that smart girl!) I am so glad I went through with it. I can see it with flip flops and tanks now, and tights, booties and a cropped leather jacket in the Fall. Now don't tell my husband I bought it, okay...
